Second only perhaps to Trumpism, this mega-obnoxious trend that has grown rapidly over the last five years ought to be banned nationwide. These douchebags, no doubt mostly male, who get their kicks by destroying the peace should be fined into oblivion and their vehicles removed from our city streets. It’s symptomatic of this Golden Age of Assholes, wherein being an aggressive jerk is aspired to — whether living in the White House (or engaging in MMA on the White House lawn), in Congress, on the Supreme Court, at the DOJ and the Pentagon and HHS, as a member of ICE, as one of the DOGE dickheads, or as a cocky, corrupt crypto-bro. It’s all of a piece. We are truly living in a fulminant renaissance for bullies, jerks, pricks, dicks, boors, lunkheads and scoundrels. With the bubonic plague at least you could blame the rats, rightly or wrongly. With all this bullshit, the humans are the rats.
